The New Educator Weekend has everything that educators need to be successful in their first years of teaching with sessions and electives concentrating on:
Your experience at the New Educator Weekend is equal parts educational and transformational. You’ll learn new skills and find solutions to real-life challenges. You’ll leave the conference feeling inspired, motivated and with a knowledge of what you need to do to be even more successful on Monday morning in your classroom. Download this Reasons to Attend NEW letter and share it with your principal to prove the value of attending the New Educator Weekend.
Want to send a group of teachers to the NEW? Download this letter and send it to your Principal or District Superintendent. Many districts are open to sending new educators to meaningful and inspiring training conferences like the NEW. This letter will help show the value of sending all new educators in your local. Remember, CTA members are only $49. Non-member pricing is $570.
Nicholas Ferroni named one of the “Most Influential Educators in America” and one of the “100 making a Difference” will be our keynote speaker on Saturday. His expertise and strong opinions about education have made him a sought after expert on nationally known platforms including ABC’s ‘The View,’ MSNBC, The Huffington Post, and more.
While Ferroni was named by People Magazine as the “Sexiest Teacher Alive” he is best known for innovative and unique approaches to teaching his students. His keynote will focus on how new educators can make a difference and why relationships and connections are essential to ensure student success. Ferroni will share how one teacher and one Post-It Note changed his entire life and teaching mantra.
On Friday evening, NEW attendees can participate in a community service project. We will be loading backpacks with school supplies to be distributed to underprivileged students from local area schools. Working together, we can make a difference for kids and teachers in some of our most underserved areas.
