Event description

COVID-19 has turned the world upside down, but CTA members are up to the seemingly impossible mission of helping each other provide the education our students and communities deserve.

Join us online for a VIRTUAL Region I Leadership Conference this year, spread out over six days from September 8 – 13, 2020.

You will have the chance to participate in a core session on “Pillars of Union Power:  Pathway to Our Next Win”, the panel discussion “Champions of COVID:  Digital Age Panel Discussion”, along with a variety of elective sessions covering topics from Special Ed to Social Justice to Distance Learning to Virtual Organizing.

Registration for the Leadership Conference will be free of charge and will be available soon.

University Credit Available

CTA Conferences are approved for university credit through the CSU Chico Department of Education. Attendees are entitled to receive 1 unit of credit with full conference attendance (minimum of 15 hours).

You may click here to register for units with Chico. The cost for each semester unit is $75.00. Verification of university credit will be available online two to three weeks after the conference. There is a ONE year time limit for late requests. Requests are to be submitted online with late fee and are subject to approval.

Professional Growth Hours Available

Professional Growth credit will be available at no cost for CTA members and will be based on the number of WebEx sessions you attend. Confirmation of professional growth hours will be emailed within two to four weeks after the conference.

How to Join a WebEx Event:

1. Click the WebEx link
  • Please plan to log in 5 minutes prior to the start of the meeting to ensure you are online and ready for the start.
2. Enter your info
  • On the Event Information page, enter your name and email address as used in registration. Password: r1lc20.
3. Select Join Now
  • If you have installed the Webex Meetings App, you will be redirected to it. If not, you'll join through your browser.
If you are using the Webex Meetings App directly, you will need to enter the Event Number to join. It is best if you can use your computer audio, but if you need to join by phone, you can dial 415-655-0003 and enter the Event Number.
