Activities

CTA has you covered each evening at Summer Institute. We have bonus electives planned after dinner followed by evening activities such as Casino Night, receptions and karaoke. You can also choose to relax and take in a movie complete with popcorn and candy.

We have group tickets to Miss Saigon at the Hollywood Pantages Theater on Tuesday, July 30th available to purchase when you register -  round trip transportation is included.

Miss Saigon is a musical based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, and similarly tells the tragic tale of a doomed romance involving an Vietnamese woman abandoned by her American lover. The setting of the plot is relocated to 1970s Saigon during the Vietnam War, and Madame Butterfly's story of marriage between an American lieutenant and a geisha is replaced by a romance between a US Marine and a South Vietnamese bar girl.

UCLA’s campus is just off Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and is located next to Westwood Village, known for its unique shops, restaurants and entertainment all within walking distance of the conference center. Click here for more information about Westwood Village.

CTA’s Summer Institute is a fully immersive professional development and leadership experience for CTA members from all parts of the state.
