The conference is devoted to enhancing CTA members’ understanding and appreciation of the issues of diversity and equity and is open to all CTA members. Attendees are able to choose from a wide variety of workshops that provide practical ideas that can be incorporated in the classroom and school setting. The workshops will also provide participants with more knowledge of issues facing our ethnic minority communities and how to advocate for change.
Conference agenda begins on Friday evening with a Mix and Mingle where participants will have an opportunity to network and share experiences. On Saturday, participants will have the option to choose from more than 20 workshops on a variety of social and educational issues.
On Sunday, participants will also have an opportunity to share their ideas and concerns at the Dialogue Sessions “Issues to Planning” and “Planning to Action.” The Conference will conclude with a General Session where the participants will share what was discussed and keys to a successful change.
This conference provides an atmosphere for genuine interaction among colleagues on topics of special interest. You are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities provided to network with like-minded individuals and to discuss relevant social issues.
