Please note: there will be a short Council Session on Sunday 11:30am-12pm. Delegates, CCA Bargaining Academy, and Building Strong Locals (BSL) Academy participants must attend ALL sessions and sign in and out at Sunday’s Council Session to be eligible for expense reimbursement. Please plan travel accordingly.
DELEGATES: Each chapter is allotted a specific number of paid delegates based on chapter membership. Chapter leaders may verify the number of chapter delegates with Bonita Lovell, Field Services Specialist, at (916) 288-4921 or email@example.com. Contact your local chapter leaders if you would like to be a conference delegate.
NON-DELEGATE PARTICIPATION/INCENTIVE GRANTS: Pursuant to Standing Rule 2-2, … CCA will reimburse the higher number of four participants at CCA conferences or the number of delegates allocated to the chapter as specified in the Bylaws. If a chapter is allocated less than four delegates, the remaining participants will attend as non-delegates. For non-delegates not covered by CCA Standing Rules, registration fees are $300.
TRANSPORTATION: The nearest airport to the DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley is the San Diego International-Lindbergh Field (SAN), which is approximately 8 miles from the hotel. Transportation to/from the airport is provided by Super Shuttle, Cloud 9 Shuttle, or other shuttle services for approximately $10-$15 per person. PARKING: Discounted hotel overnight self-parking is $15 per day.
CONFERENCE DELEGATE MEALS: Conference delegate meals included with registration: Friday Dinner; Saturday Breakfast and Lunch; and Sunday Breakfast. Your name badge is your meal ticket and entry into the dining area. Delegates will be required by the hotel to wear name badges.
GUEST MEALS: Guest entry into the dining area will require a meal ticket. Single meal tickets or family-friendly weekend meal passes (Friday Dinner; Saturday Breakfast and Lunch; and Sunday Breakfast) are available for purchase at an additional cost. Guest meal tickets can be purchased during the registration process or at the conference.

Meal Refunds: Meals are guaranteed; therefore guest meal refunds will only be available until 5:00 p.m. on January 24, 2019, email requests to CCAconference@cta.org.
UNIVERSITY CREDIT: All CCA conferences have been designed to meet educational requirements approved for University Credit through CSU, Chico Regional & Continuing Education. University Credit is available to those attending the CCA Winter Conference. Information regarding University Credit and registration forms are available online at http://rce.csuchico.edu/teachers/cta.
CCA HOMELESS INITIATIVE – Project Dignity Supports Our Homeless Students: CCA’s Homeless Initiative is supporting Project Dignity, a charity that serves people who are homeless. These people include our students – Project Dignity has helped community college students register for classes, has paid for books, and has provided food and housing. Project Dignity can ONLY use checks, cash, and grocery store gift cards. They cannot use clothing, bedding, pet food, or other bulky items, because the families they serve move quite often and by necessity travel light. We know that community college faculty have big hearts for those in need. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated by these families.
DEPENDENT CARE REIMBURSEMENT: Dependent care reimbursement will be available per CCA policy and guidelines. More information will follow.
BARGAINING ACADEMY: The Bargaining Academy is an exciting and unique opportunity designed exclusively for chapter negotiating teams, not individuals, which will run parallel to the regular conference program. The Bargaining Academy will include training on essential bargaining skills, provide up-to-date knowledge on bargaining law and district budgets, all done in a very interactive, team-based session. The Bargaining Academy is limited to the first 40 participants who register. A minimum of two participants from a Bargaining team is preferred in order for a chapter to participate. The CCA Board has approved funding for up to seven participants per chapter (including delegates and non-delegates) as long as all seven attend the Bargaining Academy.
