The Janus decision is in.  We are facing a new reality that will impact the work we do as an organization. The Presidents Conference will provide new and returning presidents a foundation to rely upon as we prepare our chapters to meet the challenges ahead. This conference will host a variety of skill building and informative sessions and provide opportunities to build lasting relationships with other presidents. Please join us if you are a new president or a returning president interested in refining your skills and/or continuing to learn best practices. We are offering many new learning modules rooted in the principles of Distributive Leadership. If you are looking for tools, templates and trainings to bring back home, this conference is designed for you.

The conference begins on Thursday with the arrival of new presidents. New presidents will engage in core sessions especially tailored to assist them in learning their new role as local leaders. Expect to build relationships with presidents across our diverse membership from rural to urban, small to large chapters and all the job families in between.

Friday, all Community College Presidents will attend sessions designed to address issues unique to California’s community colleges. All returning presidents also join the conferences as we continue to make connections and build relationships that last.

On Saturday and Sunday, all presidents participate in skill building electives and modules that reinforce content, context and what we can do together to build high participation chapters and a stronger union.  Saturday and Sunday will focus on bringing together learnings and plans to connect, organize & engage members.
