The High Desert Service Center Council is privileged to again host its annual Fall Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The 2017 conference will include Friday pre-sessions and over 40 training sessions. The following Friday pre-conference workshops are offered at this years conference:

Treasurer’s Workshop  9:30 am - 12:00 pm                                                        

Learn the ins and outs of being your chapter treasurer.  This comprehensive workshop may be separate from the conference but the work of the Treasurer is an integral part of chapter duties.

PAC Treasurer’s Workshop 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm                                               

This elective will assist treasurers in understanding regulations necessary to ensure local association compliance with disclosure laws in the area of campaign reporting with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC).

Basic Election Training 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

This session will describe and inform local chapter Presidents and Elections Committee members of the roles and responsibilities regarding local and State Council elections.  Included will be basic information regarding voting methods which will now include the option of electronic/online voting.  Orientation to utilizing the CTA approved vendors will be part of the training.
