The Spring Conference is held in April and highlights advocacy. While we wish that politics did not play a role in education, we know that having effective advocacy in Sacramento, a well-informed membership, and local Boards of Trustees who support our faculty and students are critical to our success. At this conference, we also highlight our “We Honor Ours” (WHO) Awards winners. This is a special program which honors our own local and state union leaders.
Please note: Delegates, CCA California Leadership Academy participants must attend all Council Sessions to be eligible for reimbursement.
Each chapter is allotted a specific number of paid delegates based on chapter membership. Chapter leaders may verify the number of chapter delegates with Bonita Lovell, Field Services Specialist, at (916) 288-4921 or email@example.com. Contact your local chapter leaders if you would like to be a conference delegate.
NON-DELEGATE PARTICIPATION/INCENTIVE GRANTS
Pursuant to Standing Rule 2-2, … CCA will reimburse the higher number of four participants at CCA conferences or the number of delegates allocated to the chapter as specified in the Bylaws. If a chapter is allocated less than four delegates, the remaining participants will attend as non-delegates. For non-delegates not covered by CCA Standing Rules, registration fees are $300.

The nearest airport to the Manhattan Beach Marriott the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is approximately thee miles. The hotel does not provide shuttle service. Participants can take SuperShuttle from LAX to the hotel. Reservations can be made either online SuperShuttle.com or call 800-BLUE VAN (800-258-3826).

CONFERENCE DELEGATE MEALS
Conference delegate meals included with registration: Friday dinner buffet; Saturday breakfast and lunch buffet; Saturday WHO Awards plated dinner; and Sunday breakfast buffet. Your name badge is your meal ticket and entry into the dining area; all delegates are required to wear their name badges.
Guest entry into the dining area will require a meal ticket. Single meal tickets or family-friendly weekend meal passes are available for purchase at an additional cost:

By attending the CCA Conferences you can earn semester credits on a Chico State transcript, which may be valid for professional credit at the discretion of your local school district. These credits do not, however, meet degree or credential requirements and are not calculated in the Grade Point Average.
