This Conference, Our Locals, Our Classrooms, Our Communities, Our Union, is centered on the idea that organizing for Member Engagement is the key to a stronger future on all levels – member, local chapter, service center, state and national. Organizing, specifically Member Engagement, is the foundation of building local chapter power in advocacy, professionalism and leadership.

The training sessions will be informative, interactive and centered on developing both skills and knowledge to prepare local chapters and leaders to build and assert their power by organizing.

Friday – The annual Presidents Meeting with Executive Officers will be held from 10:00AM – 2:00PM. A Chapter Treasurer Training will be offered from 9:30AM – 12:00PM followed by a PAC Treasurer Training from 1:00PM – 3:00PM. See enclosed notice for details. In the evening, there will be a reception from 6:00PM – 8:00PM hosted by our Service Center Councils.

Saturday will begin with the CTA Budget Forum at 8:00AM, followed by a breakfast buffet, welcome/general session with keynote speaker, Seattle Education Association Executive Director John Donaghy and a session on Membership Engagement. Lunch will be followed by keynote speaker, CTA President Eric C. Heins. After the keynote address, participants will attend two 90-minute workshop sessions.

Sunday morning begins with a round of electives for all participants. The conference will conclude with a keynote address by CTA Legal Director Laura P. Juran, a brunch buffet and prize drawings.
