Across California, educators are shaping a better future for our schools and our communities. Our work is challenging but immensely rewarding. Inspiring keynote speakers and skilled workshop presenters will energize conference participants and develop their confidence and capacity to lead.

This year’s theme reflects our union’s tireless efforts to improve public education in California.

Attend the 2015 Region I Leadership Conference and find the empowerment you need to make an impact on public education and in your community. The conference has six (6) strands from which you will be able to select electives.

The strands focus on the following:

  • Community Engagement and Coalition Building
  • Leadership and Leadership Development
  • Social Justice, Equity and Diversity
  • Advocacy on Education Reform
  • Transforming our Profession
  • Building a Strong Union by Organizing

Choose from exciting electives, such as CTA/NEA Resources to Lead Change in Instructional Practice, Untouchable Topics/Courageous Conversations (Tenure, Pay for Performance, etc.) and more!

University Credit and Professional Growth
University Credit
This conference meets education requirements approved for continuing education university credit through the CSU Chico Department of Education. One unit of university credit is available for full attendance. Sign up for the university credit during the online registration process or onsite.

Professional Growth
Professional growth credit is available at no cost and credit will be awarded based on the number of sessions attended.
