Conference Policies

Cancellations and No Shows

Each event has a set cancellation date, approximately one to three weeks prior to the event depending on the event and venue. All cancellations must be received by the cancellation deadline in order to receive a refund and/or avoid a balance due.

Any cancellations after the cancellation date are non-refundable and any outstanding balance will still be due. You may do a substitution at any time.

If you are a no-show, you will also be responsible for the full payment.

Payments from Chapters or Districts

For some conferences, a participant may be funded by their local chapter or their school district. In these instances, participants should work with their chapter and/or district to find out if they should pay CTA directly and be reimbursed or if their chapter or district will pay CTA directly. In the event that a chapter or district does not pay the registration fee, the participant is ultimately responsible for all amounts due.

Image Consent

CTA may photograph, video or internet stream parts of their conferences. By registering for the conference, you consent to your image possibly appearing in photographs or video session presentations.

University Credit

CTA Conferences are approved for university credit through the CSU Chico Department of Education. The number of units available varies by conference. The cost is $60 per unit through 2019 and $75 per unit starting January 2020. Click here for more information and to purchase the unit.

Professional Growth Hours

Professional Growth credit will be available at no cost for CTA members and will be emailed within two weeks of the conference.

CTAGo! - the conference mobile app

CTA is offering a free mobile app for the conferences. You will have access to the conference program, session schedule, session descriptions, presenter information and more, all from the convenience of your smartphone or tablet. The app is available now from iTunes and the Google Play Store. Search for CTA Go! or text CTAGo to 99000. Conference information is typically available one week prior to the event.


In session feedback is available via the CTAGo! Mobile App. Click on your session and then tap “Survey” to provide direct feedback. A more general evaluation of the entire conference will be emailed to all attendees after the event.
